A tiny info for you. I just heard that if you have sd-wan policies created on you gen6 and you import to gen7 there may be issues with this policies if you edit them afterwards on the gen7
-
hey can you maybe give me a hint how you do that via the cli?
-
oh maybe i should check ours too
-
ah i will have a look at this, thanks
-
Hey thats something I would like to implement, too. Is it possible to let the Sonicwall GMS System send an email when this happens?
-
Beside the VPN you should also keep the latency in mind. higher latency might affect throughput-speed
-
ok, but it chooses one connection, not both can be used parallel. so if i have 2x50 mbit/s i cant make it a 100mbit/s sd-wan line
-
you mean changing subnet 192.168.0.x/24 and 192.168.1.x/24 to 192.168.8.x/24?
-
just a suggestion: might be the rom with is buggy (had something similar with a gen6 sonicwall) - sonicwall support can figured it out/help
-
@Arkwright : I noticed that you mentioned: "hen having multiple paths that can be used simultaneously brings the best performance." From my understanding the Sonicwalls SD-WAN just uses one WAN-connection it does not combine them, does it?
-
or maybe another question: will there be the option in the future?
-
and what to do if you are using GroupWAN VPN as Dialin Method?
-
oh hopefully this is not related to the ssl vpn security issues, which sonicwall believes is used out in the wild. maybe there is a way to check if a sonicwall is affected?
-
Yeah I understand what you mean. I had an sonicwall support case where the sonicwall was downgraded and they denied support. Since that day I am a bit sensitive.
-
yeah but i need to do a factory reset, right? which means a downtime.
